ISM Code Service

The International Safety Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention (ISM Code) is a mandatory operating system and the main rule of the Maritime business today. The need for this Code rised as the international community realized the seriousness  of environmental pollution and deadly accidents on the world fleet due to the human factor. The first attempts to establish a system of safe ship operation were made in 1986. Later on the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) took a number of resolutions for developing the same issue. Final IMO Resolution which determined the start of the history of the Code history was adopted in 1993.

 

Then in 1994 addition was made under the ISM Code as Chapter IX of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), 1974 which regulate the provision of the compulsory execution of the requirements of the ISM Code to all member states of the Convention.

 

Our company has experience in the safety management operation system of dry cargo ships in accordance with the ISM Code provisions and a flag state administrations requirements. The company has a policy on maintaining the safety and pollution prevention. Our procedures are universal and can be implemented taking into account the specifics of a particular vessel.
